Diamonds Today
Today, diamonds are mined in some 25 countries around the world including Russia, South Africa, Botswana, Zaire and Canada. Australia alone produces almost 25 per cent of the world's diamonds, mostly from the Argyle Mine in the Kimberley region of Western Australia.
They continue to hold a deep fascination as the world's ultimate symbol of love. The diamond's rarity and natural beauty are the qualities that have contributed to making the diamond such a special and magical gift.
